I am starting the whole “no poo” thing and I was curious how much/often to use the boar brush on my hair?

I have Hair Down to my shoulder blades and it is REALLY thick. It is also fairly course, not kinky, the individual hairs are just thick as well.
Do I need to use the boar Bristle Brush daily?
How long each time do I need to brush it or how many stokes?

To the person who answered before me, no poo, is simply to not use shampoo (Don’t worry, there are other ways of keeping hair clean). Unfortunately asker, I can’t tell you exactly how often you should use the boar brush, it has to be found through trial and error. However, starting off at twice a week will probably be a good idea (I brush mine on Wednesdays and Saturdays). Just brush long enough to remove any visible foreign matter from the hair. Too much longer can result in unnecessary breakage. If you do notice breakage, it’s a sign that you need to brush your hair less.
